- Katrina and Rita Solidarity. Active participation to the solidarity efforts of several groups. Examples:
    * Needs survey in the greater Baton Rouge area shelters with the International Rescue Committee and the Greater Baton Rouge Area Foundation.
    * Reorganization of The Fourth International Conference on Diversity in Organisations, Communities and Nations which was to take place at Xavier University in New Orleans in June 2006. As a result, Louisiana State University was acknowledged as a sponsor of the conference and D. Egéa-Kuehne is on the International Advisory Board.
    * Help to schools and teachers through "Solidarity Schools" with the French General Consulate of New Orleans, the Louisiana Department of Education, the Communauté Française de Belgique, the Council for the Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL), the Consortium of Immersion Schools, the International Center of Lafayette, and the American Association of Teachers of French Louisiana Chapter (AATF LA).
