Interesting facts about your animal 
  • Spider monkies feed mostly in the morning, eating mostly fruit, nuts, seeds, insects and eggs. They forage in groups ranging up to 20 individuals
  • The spider monkey has the longest and most powerful tail of all primates, a prehensile tail. They use their tail as a fifth limb.
  • The spider monkey travels in groups and the route they take through trees remain constant. During more abundant times of the year, the route shortens but does not change.
