Student Characteristics

· Students must be comfortable with using the Internet, Kidspiration, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

· Has potential to be a cross-curricular project (science, social studies, language arts, technology).

· Cognitive development and higher order thinking skills are developed through brainstorming, making decisions and cooperative learning.

· Topics are close to home for students in LA and provide information that is applicable to real-world situations.

· The information created by the students may be published and distributed within the school environment.
