I knew it was morning when I knocked the ringing alarm off the end table and my mom turned on the lights to get me out of bed. I crawled out of the bed and went towards the bathroom. Someone was there already. I heard the toilett flush and water running in the sink. So I ran downstairs to my mom's bathroom. Cartoons were on her bedroom T.V. so I forgot to finish the bathroom duties till she yelled at me to get the phone.

My friend, Kyle, wanted to know if I could go to his birthday party at McDonald's after school. Mom said I had to come home to change out of my school uniform before I go. Then, after getting a glass of milk from the refrigerator and a strawberry Poptart from the toaster, I ate some instant oatmeal. Mom gave me a ball point pen and paper for me to write down my friend's phone number. She wanted to be able to call if she needed to.

Just then the doorbell rang. The bus driver had sent a student to my door to hurry me up. Then, I ran out without my lunch money which I had left under my waterbed matteress.
