an appropriate curricular adaptations for gifted students who are members

(3-6 hours)(Prereq.: consent of instructor)
Planning, implementing and evaluating
strategies, materials, and counseling techniques in a school setting.

Master's of Arts Degree in Curriculum & Instruction
Major: Education
The MA Program in Curriculum and Instruction is
36 hours with two options:
1. 36 hours of course
work with a written comprehensive examination.
2. 30 hours of course
work and 6 hours of thesis with an oral examination.
All programs must be approved by the student's department advisor. At least 18 hours must be at or above the 7000 level. (Transfer work from other institution may not be counted toward fulfilling this 18 hour requirement.) A minimum of 6 hours must be taken outside the college of education. All programs must include the following components.

The program for the Certificate of Education Specialist (Ed.S) in Curriculum and Instruction requires a minimum of 60 credits beyond the bachelor's degree which includes a Master's degree. A minimum of 18 hours of the last 24 hours must be taken for resident credit in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at LSU. All programs must be approved by the student's departmental advisor. A minimum of nine hours must be taken outside of the College of Education. All programs must include the following components:

The Ph.D. program in Curriculum and Instruction requires (90) hours beyond the bachelor's, at least twelve of which are to be taken outside of the College of Education.
Each doctoral program will contain the following components:
Major Area of Study: Curriculum and Instruction
Approximately fifty hours are to be taken in the student's
area(s) of concentration (e.g., curriculum theory, reading, language arts,
children's literature, and teacher education, early childhood/elementary/middle/secondary
school education). Each student must enroll in:
