Introduction
Louisiana is a potent gumbo of French, Spanish, Caribbean, African, British, Native American, and Cajun cultures.  They've simmered together for centuries, creating a memorable feast.  This website is designed to guide you through the cultural aspects of Louisiana.  You will discover the tastes, sounds, and sites of our state.



The Task

Your task is to hunt for items related to Louisiana by using the links provided and other sources.  Find at least 3 items form each of the categories below.
(A)  Food

(B)  Music

(C)  Festivals

(D)  Sports

(E)  Government


The items can consist of pictures, magazine clippings, websites, other links provided, and etc.  Once these items have been collected, you will choose the one of your three items from each category that you find the most interesting.  You will make a pamphlet about the items that you have choosen and tell how they relate to Louisiana.  This pamphlet will be designed to encourage visitors from other states to come visit Louisiana and to see what you are proud of.



The Process

1.  Go home and find three items from each of the following categories that are related to Louisiana.
2.  Bring items to class.
3.  Choose one item from each category that you find most interesting.
4.  Research each of these items thorouhgly using links proovided and other sources.
5.  On scratch paper, design a pamplet inviting visitors from other states to Louisiana.
6.  This pamphlet will include the information about the chose.
7.  Using the program presswriter, you will design your pamphlet.
8.  Thes pamphlet should be colorful, enticing, and include all information you have gathered and pics.
9.  Once you have edited the pamphlet, print a copy for each classmate.
10. Present your invitation to the class.
