Introduction

  Have you ever wondered where your favorite animal lives or even how your favorite animal survives in the wild? Well this is your chance to find out all the information you ever wanted to know about your favorite animal.  Your "challenge" is to search the internet to find information on your favorite animal and to create a Power Point presentation to show the entire class. Have fun with this. You will want to find information along with pictures to illustrate all the unique qualities about your animal of choice.

The Task

Your task will be for this assignment to:

    discover where your animal lives and what your animal eats to survive;

    next you will want to find pictures of your animal that give examples of what your animal does in the wild (ex. how it eats, how it sleeps, what kind of family unit it has)

    after you have collected the data on your animal you will now put the information together and create a  Power Point     presentation on your animal to present to the entire class.

         The final presentation will be done on Power Point and
         presented to the class on the due date.

The Process

To accomplish the task you will have to follow these simple steps.

  1. Choose your favorite animal

  2. Go to the internet and search for information on you animal. This information can be anything that you think is important for the class to know about your animal. Remember to include not only information about your animal but also include pictures to show what your animal looks like and what kind of habitat your animal lives in.  Some helpful search sites include:

  3. After you find all the information and pictures you need to complete the project you will need to save it on a disk so you can get started on your Power Point presentation. The Power  Point presentation should contain at the least four slides each with a picture and some text about our animal.

Conclusion

   Now that you have done your research what have you learned about your animal?  Did you learn any thing new?  Did you already know a lot and are refreshed your memory about your animal?  You may want to learn about another animal and what kind of life that animal leads. Now that all of your data has been collected and put into a presentation you will be able inform your classmates about your "favorite animal" and what makes them unique and why you like that particular animal.
